I'm not going to sugar coat it. The world is a dark place. It's full of despair, hopelessness, and reasons to give up.
But that doesn't mean you have to go it alone.
The universe is ultimately black, cold, and infinite. Despite that, it's the pockets of light caused by the stars that give warmth and life. Life is very much the same way, even if things are dark, there are people out there that can give us the strength to carry on.
